Virtual Lactation Consultation

Not in Central Oregon? No problem. Willow offers virtual lactation consultations by video for families anywhere in the United States.
Virtual visits are surprisingly effective — Willow can watch a full feed, assess latch and positioning, review your pumping setup, and walk you through hands-on techniques in real time. Many families find that the comfort of their own home, combined with expert guidance, is exactly what they need.
Whether you're in a rural area without local IBCLC support, or you just prefer the convenience of not leaving home, virtual care brings evidence-based lactation support to your screen.

Frequently asked questions
You'll receive a video link before your appointment. During the call, Willow will ask you to position the camera so she can see a full feed. She'll assess latch, positioning, and baby's behavior, then guide you through adjustments in real time.
Yes — with a good camera angle, Willow can see latch depth, nipple shape, baby's mouth, and swallowing patterns. Most latch and positioning issues can be effectively addressed virtually.
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and good internet connection. A stand or prop to hold the camera hands-free during feeding is helpful but not required — you can prop it up with pillows.
That's okay. We can work with what you have — review your setup, answer questions, demonstrate techniques on a doll or stuffed animal, and schedule a follow-up if needed.
Willow accepts Anthem Blue Cross (virtual prenatal program), Cigna, and HSA for virtual visits. She's actively credentialing with most insurers — expected completion by end of 2026.
For most feeding challenges, yes. Virtual visits are particularly effective for latch correction, pumping troubleshooting, and education. For hands-on bodywork or oral assessment, in-person may be preferred — Willow will let you know if that's the case.
