The first weeks are harder than anyone tells you

Postpartum is a profound transition — physically, emotionally, and hormonally. Feeding challenges are the #1 reason new parents reach out for help, and you don't have to figure it out alone. Whether you're struggling with latch, pain, low supply, pumping, or just feeling overwhelmed, Willow provides evidence-based support in the comfort of your home or via video.

What sets Willow apart is her whole-person approach. As a Registered Nurse with nearly 30 years of experience and certifications in trauma care, nurse coaching, and perinatal support, she understands that feeding success isn't just about the latch — it's about your whole well-being: sleep, stress, mental health, and support system.

Common postpartum feeding challenges

  • Painful latch or sore nipples
  • Concerns about milk supply
  • Clogged ducts or mastitis risk
  • Pumping and returning-to-work planning
  • Flange sizing and pump setup
  • Supplementing safely when needed
  • Tongue-tie and lip-tie assessment
  • Newborn weight gain concerns
  • Emotional overwhelm and postpartum anxiety

How Willow supports postpartum families

Every family is different, so every visit is tailored to your specific situation. Here's what you can expect:

  • A full feeding observation — watching a feed to assess latch, positioning, and baby's transfer
  • Weight check if needed — to confirm baby is getting enough milk
  • A personalized plan — clear, written steps you can follow at home
  • Pumping guidance — flange sizing, schedule, and storage if you're pumping or returning to work
  • Mental health check-in — postpartum mood matters; Willow is trained to recognize when additional support is needed
  • Follow-up support — you're not alone after the visit ends

What to expect in a visit

In-home visits last 60–90 minutes and take place wherever you're most comfortable — your couch, your bed, your nursery. Virtual visits are just as thorough via video. Willow will observe a feeding, answer your questions, and leave you with a clear plan. Prenatal classes are also available for families who want to prepare before baby arrives.

Pricing: $250 in-home (Central Oregon) · $175 virtual · $250 Prenatal Lactation Private Class. Most insurance plans accepted. HSA/FSA welcome.

When to seek urgent care

If you have a fever over 101°F, spreading breast redness, or flu-like symptoms, contact your doctor — these can be signs of mastitis. If you're having thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) immediately.

Serving Central Oregon and beyond

In-home visits available in Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, and surrounding areas. Virtual visits available to families anywhere in the United States. Willow is available 7 days a week by appointment.

Common questions

When should I reach out for help?

Sooner than you think. If feeding is painful, you're worried about supply, or you just feel overwhelmed — reach out. Early intervention prevents bigger problems. You don't have to "tough it out."

Do I need a prenatal class, or should I wait until after birth?

Prenatal classes give you a foundation of knowledge and confidence before the chaos begins. But it's never too late — postpartum support is just as valuable. Many families do both.

Does insurance cover lactation visits?

Most private insurance plans in the U.S. cover lactation support, often at 100% with no copay, thanks to the Affordable Care Act. Willow will help you check your benefits and provide a receipt for reimbursement.
